Outdoor Movie Series: Put on by Richmond Parks and Recreation. This week is Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (original version) Rated G. All movies begin at dusk with games for kids at 8:30 p.m. Event is FREE. Snacks available for purchase. Bring lawn chairs/blankets etc. It’s a fun event!

Fayette County Free Fair Begins, Connersville IN This fair offers free parking and entry. Rides, games, exhibits etc. At Roberts Park and 4H fairgrounds off North Park Road. Take US 40 West to Connersville exit ( before entering Cambridge City)-turn left.
Richmond High School Red Devil Marching Band Annual Ice Cream Social, 11:00am – 4:00pm At the Tom Raper Center at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by: Richmond Music Boosters,861 Salisbury Road North, Richmond, IN 47374. Includes preview of their State Fair routine.
All American Band Days: Cookout for the Northeastern Marching Band, Sunday afternoon in Fountain City. Cookout is to raise money for State Fair but also to preview the show for those who will be unable to attend.
