Yogi Bear: Outdoor Movie Series
At Fairview Elementary, 60 NW L St., brought to you by Richmond Parks and Recreation. Going to the theater can be expensive, so spend your summer watching movies with us! The 15th annual Outdoor Movie Series has moved back into the neighborhoods! New this year, each movie will be held at a neighborhood park or elementary school. Neighbors are encouraged to walk to the event but everyone in the community is welcome! Bring your chairs, blankets, and snacks for a great show under the stars. Kids’ activities begin at 8:30 pm. Concessions will be available at each movie.
Rockin The Gorge With Dire Skates (Friday & Saturday)
The annual Rockin The Gorge is coming this weekend starting on Friday afternoon going into the day on Saturday. Dire Skates will be on the grounds tonight in the gorge doing a “mini bout” at 8:30 p.m. Many local and out of town bands are expected to play at this exciting event which is a favorite each year.

2nd Annual Home and Garden Tour
Historic Centerville will be hosting its second annual Home and Garden Tour on Saturday, July 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, July 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets may be bought for $5 on the day of the tour at the Centerville Farmer’s Market for $5 each.
RiverRats Celebrate Independence Day At McBride With Fireworks
Saturday, July 9, 2011-Quincy Gems; Start time: 7:05 PM Gates Open: 6:05 PM; Celebrate Independence Day with the RiverRats tonight. The fireworks show will immediately follow the game. Your kids can run the bases, meet the players and get their autographs.
Joseph And the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Friday & Saturday)
Richmond Civic Theatre is proud to present JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT as the summer fundraiser. “JOSEPH” is a favorite among RCT patrons. This production promises the same great songs, colorful costumes, and familiar Biblical story. Although RCT has previously presented “JOSEPH” two times, this production promises a fresh look at the popular musical. Director Renee Arnett says “The directors and cast of Joseph have had an AMAZING time putting together a fun filled show! Hand clapping, sing along fun is what is in store for all those that attend! And don’t forget to get your season membership too!” Show dates are July 8,9, 15,16 at 7:30 PM and July 10, 17 at 2PM. Tickets are now on sale at the RCT box office.
