Wayne County Foundation Accepting Grant Applications
News Release submitted by the Wayne County Foundation

The Wayne County Foundation is accepting grant applications from Wayne County non-profits for its Health, Human Service, Animals, Seniors, and Environment/Preservation categories until 4:00 p.m. October 3, 2011.

Assistance in preparing applications is available from the Foundation office located at 33 South 7th Street, Richmond.  First-time applicants are encouraged to contact Andrea Stuckey at the Foundation Office prior to submitting an application. For additional information, prospective grantees may call the Foundation office at 765-962-1638 or e-mail andrea@waynecountyfoundation.org.

Information is also available on the Foundation’s Website, www.waynecountyfoundation.org.  All completed applications are reviewed by committees of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and community volunteers.  All applicants will be notified of the Foundation’s decisions in mid-November.

Last year, the Foundation awarded over $1 million in grants and scholarships, including $70,000 through its health, human service, animals, seniors, and environment/preservation grant-making cycle.
