Wayne County has so many non-profits doing amazing things that impact our communities on a daily basis. And now, during the Wayne County Foundation Challenge Match- you can make your support go even farther.
With 49 organizations participating this year, one can be sure to find one or two organizations to support. Whether it’s an organization that, every day, impacts the lives of girls to help them to be Strong, Smart & Bold, (Girls Inc) or and environmental organization that makes it their mission to educate the public on being keepers of the earth (Cope Environmental Center, Hayes Arboretum). Wherever your passions are ignited, you can find an organization that needs your support.
Are you an arts enthusiast? Perhaps you might choose to support the Richmond Art Museum, The Shakespeare Festival, Richmond Community Orchestra or the Overbeck Museum in Cambridge City that showcases the work of the well known Overbeck sisters of the area. So many choices.
According to Lisa Bates, Wayne County Foundation, “Donations to participating organizations (up to $1,000 per donor) made during the match period of Nov 6-13 will trigger matching dollars from the Foundation, with respect to certain criteria. Contributions may be made directly to the participating organization or through the Foundation’s website (here).”
