  • National Road 40 Yard Sales….Winding Down Today
June 3, 2012
Cars line 40 as people peruse the many yard sales at a Nazarene church past Centerville

Yesterday yard sales were plentiful along Old National Road, US 40.  As the wind whipped items off of tables and signs occasionally fell, the crowds were not deterred from their mission– finding good deals.

As far as the eye could see at points along 40, yard sales were set up in front of houses, in church parking lots, businesses and even a motel yard, and cars were parked all along 40.

As Saturday drew to a close, many were selling out tables of items, while others were getting ready for the last day of yard sales…Today.

If you haven’t been out yet, you still have time.  Take a ride along 40 and see what you can find today- we found some treasures ourselves yesterday: a vintage baby buggy, a collector doll, a vintage tablecloth and a microscope.  Prices will be marked way down today as well.  Let us know what you found…leave a comment on GoWayneCounty.com at the bottom of this story.

Happy yard sales!
