HYPE Richmond to host MTV’s “The Buried Life” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Richmond, Ind. —
HYPE Richmond is thrilled to announce that MTV’s Duncan Penn and Ben Nemtin of The Buried Life will speak at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 11, at Civic Hall Performing Arts Center.
“The Buried Life (TBL) originated in 2006 when four new 20-something’s – Ben Nemtin, Dave Lingwood, Duncan Penn and Jonnie Penn – set out in an old RV to complete a list of ‘100 Things We Want To Do Before We Die,’ and help out strangers along the way to accomplish something on their own lists. In mid-2008, MTV’s Revielle’s Howard T. Owens helped the team check off #53: Make a TV show, by capturing the four in a reality show, in real time with no manipulation and no assistance from MTV, except for cameras rolling.”
Two of the founding members of The Buried Life, Penn and Nemtin, will speak about their experiences traveling the globe, crossing off list items, and asking strangers the question “What do you want to do before you die?”. The discussion will be followed by a meet and great at 8:30 p.m. The cost for the event is $10 in advance and $15 the day of. All ticketing is general admission.
