  • Miss Indiana Visits Opening Ceremony For Starr/Gennett At J & J Winery
September 12, 2010

Friday evening, September 10, 2010, a wonderful kick-off for a festive weekend featured the Richmond Community Orchestra, and a visit from Miss Indiana.

Miss Indiana

As music wafted up to the upper tiers of the decks of J&J, people enjoyed the sites, smells and sounds of this event.  A variety of musical talent was appreciated as vocalists also shared their talents for the evening, under the large white tent set up by the pond and fountains.

The audience was seated in the gazebo, on the decks and under the tent making it a full house for J&J winery.

People of all ages enjoyed the music and the view of the dusk skies which changed from blue to wisps of purple haze as day turned to evening.  Lighted fountains in the pond and lanterns added to the ambiance of the evening.

Another well attended event at the beautiful venue of J&J Winery–a peaceful place to lead into the Starr Gennett Music Festival and Induction ceremonies on Saturday at the Gorge.
