Lots of family fun this weekend as Centerville residents host their annual Archway Days. Good food, crafts and many events during the weekend to enjoy.  And as part of Archway Days Historic Centerville’s annual Quilt and Handwork Show will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 26 and 27, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.   Admission for the quilt show is $5 and the money is used for the restoration and maintenance of the Mansion House Inn & Tavern as well as the Salisbury Court House and Railroad Shanty also on the property.  On Saturday, August 27, Carolyn Lafever, Wayne County Historian, will be in the Court House behind the Mansion House with new displays and information regarding the 6 Wayne County Court Houses. She will be there from 12:30 – 4 p.m.

Everyday Prophets

Prophets Fest Begins At 1:00 Today

Live music all day and into the night the festival will feature the band Everyday Prophets who will perform on Chanticleer Farm (3 miles south of Richmond on US 27, turn right on Woods Road) Saturday, August 27, 2011 beginning at 1 PM, ending Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Many genres of music will be represented by the various bands performing.  (see full article in GoWayneCounty.com) For more information you can go to everydayprophets.com

Celebrate the beginning of a new academic year with this annual outdoor festival, which includes a picnic/barbeque, various vendors and live music on an outdoor concert stage. Tickets required: $15/adult, $10/senior and students. One free ticket with an Earlham ID. Food and drinks available for an additional cost.  Festivities begin at 5:00 today.

The Final Showing of Seussical The Musical This Weekend

Saturday is the final day to see this enchanting musical brought to the community by Richmond Civic Theatre.  Don’t miss the chance to see local talent bring Dr. Seuss’s themes to life.  For ticket information call the box office or go online to Richmond Civic Theatre. The evening show is at 7:30 p.m.
