  • Let’s Celebrate the Earth!
April 19, 2018

Saturday, April 21, 2018, is Earth Day!  So many things are happening this time of year right under our feet and above our heads.  You can celebrate the awesomeness of that in a variety of ways in Wayne County this weekend.

Hayes Arboretum- Richmond IN

A family friendly annual event, the Family Earth Day Celebration will be at Hayes Arboretum in Richmond IN this Saturday from 10:00 am – 2 pm.  Pick up a free tree to plant in your own yard, enjoy some recycled art displays , a raptor show and more!  Admission is FREE.

Cope Environmental Center- Centerville IN

Enjoy the Flora & Fauna Talk & Hike in celebration of the earth at the Cope Environmental Center Saturday from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Each month you can learn about a different type of animal or plant native to Indiana.  Take in the earth’s beauty as you hike through woods and fields of Cope.  Rain or shine.  This is a FREE and recurring monthly event!

Have fun this weekend celebrating the earth.  Hike, fish, plant a tree, fly a kite.  So many ways to enjoy this big earth we call home!
