Historic Centerville’s annual Garden & Home tour will be on Saturday, July 7, from 9 – 4 and Sunday, July 8, from 11 – 4. Tickets will be purchased at the Mansion House, 214 E Main Street, for $7 on the day of the tour. There are 5 properties for “tourists” to enjoy.
Clara G. Whitman-Parett of God’s Earth Pottery will have her work displayed for sale in the Mansion House. This would be a good opportunity to pick up a unique gift. She is a local potter who lives and works in the Centerville Community.
Isaac Baldwin will have his hand made wooden yard art on sale at one of the properties. He will be taking orders for the arbors he has on display. There will be a deposit at the time of purchase with the balance being due upon delivery. He will also have some cash & carry items such as trellises. He will also visit your property to measure for a custom arbor if desired.
We are pleased to have our first Ice Cream Social during the Tour from 1 – 5 each day of the Tour. There will be home-made pies, ice cream, and drinks available for attendees to enjoy. Pie/ice cream/drink will be $4.50. Pie alone will be $2.50; ice cream only will be $2.00, and drinks will be $1.00—all proceeds will go for the restoration and maintenance of the Mansion property and the Salisbury Court House. “Tourists” will receive a free lemonade or iced tea with tour ticket and purchase of food.
Please join us for the Ice Cream Social whether you plan to go on the Garden/Home Tour or not. It will help fund the many projects going on at the Mansion House property.
If you would be willing to donate a home made pie or help serve during the Ice Cream Social let Ruth Bane (855-5450) or Myra Baldwin (977-5605) know.
