Girls Inc. presents Enchanted Evening Gala Fundraiser
Looking for an Enchanted Evening out for a great cause? Now’s your chance! Girls Inc. is creating an Enchanted Evening at the Holiday Inn Ballroom on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 6pm. In addition to supporting girls in our community, your evening includes dancing to the live entertainment of Groove Essentials, enjoying scrumptious food stations, and honoring local community members.
The Gala introduces our Strong, Smart, Bold and Inspiring Awards. Our 2016 Honorees are Monica Koechlein, Dr. Erica Kretchman, The Women’s Fund of the Wayne County Foundation and Jo (Rosa) Lucas. We celebrate these Honorees for role modeling leadership, intelligence, strength and generosity.
The Girls Inc. Gala uniquely features a short film screening. This local premiere showcases stories which portray the spirit and vitality of girls and women. All proceeds from the event support Girls Inc. programs which inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold.
Girls Inc. of Wayne County, formerly Girls Club, has been serving girls in our community for over 40 years. Each year we provide a variety of after-school, summer and school-based programs that prepare girls to lead successful, independent, and fulfilling lives.
Girls Inc. serves over 2,000 youth annually, promoting positive messages about healthy decision making and girls’ intelligence, strengths, and value. Challenging negative social messages and stereotypes, we inspire girls to realize their full potential and become the women they truly want to be.
