Yesterday I was fortunate to be able to take a moment to stop by the new Elstro Plaza to check on the progress and also to run into one of the crew members who has helped with the project.

A few minutes before I had arrived, the fountains had been turned on for the very first time that day, and Ryan Wilt, a crew member of Muhlenkamp Building Corp from Coldwater Ohio, proudly showed me a picture of how the fountains looked in the evening with glowing multicolored lights.

Within just days the fountains have been completed, sod laid in the grassy area in front of the new ampitheatre and bricks were still being laid but near completion.  It is a huge transformation and will be a wonderful place for people of Wayne County to gather for concerts, farmer’s markets and so much more!

The ribbon cutting for the first phase of this project will be October 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the plaza. All are welcome to attend and celebrate this great addition to the area.
