  • Contra Dance Tonight At Common Grounds
March 25, 2011

Friday, March 25, 2011

If you have never experienced this kind of group dancing which has it’s origins in old English style “called” dances, you may want to check this out.

The caller is Jim Sizelove who also teaches all the dances–so beginners are welcome.  Live music will be provided by the 10th Street Regulars, and admission is 5.00– which goes to the band.

This is a wonderful opportunity as well to get some much needed exercise.  Contra Dance has been a regular feature at Common Grounds Coffee House since it’s inception and is very popular.  West Richmond Friends is located on West Main and 7th Street, and dancing is from 7 to 10 p.m.
