A long observed tradition is coming again to Wayne County IN- the Centerville IN Archway Days Festival! You can enjoy all your favorite festival events along with some newly added displays, festival foods, games and a caboose dedication. You will want to clear your calendar for this special event!
Friday, August 27, Archway Days Car Show & Power Wheels
Enjoy classic cars at the Archway Days car show to kick off the festival. There will also be a Power Wheel display by the kids with a contest for the entries. Entry fees for cars: 10.00 and for Power Wheels 3.00. Vendors, including food, will be available on Friday evening. This promises to be fun for the whole family!
29th Annual Pancake Breakfast
A festival favorite for 29 years, Saturday August 28 from 6:30 am to 10:30 am you can enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast with your friends and family at the United Methodist church on 112 S. Morton Ave, sponsored by the BSA Troop 16. Breakfast includes all you can eat pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits, fresh fruit, sweet breads, milk, juice and coffee! Cost: Adults 6.00 and children 4.00. You can’t beat that for an Saturday morning breakfast!
Archway Days Parade
This years theme is trains to go along with the dedication of the caboose during the festival (see below). It should prove to be an entertaining parade with the competition for best float based on the 2021 theme. Judging of floats begins at 2:00 pm. on Saturday, August 28 and the parade will start at 4:00 pm. Be sure to get a good seat and set up along the road early!
CB&Q Railroad Caboose Dedication
There will be a dedication of the CB&Q Railroad Caboose on Saturday, at 11:30am. “Come out and enjoy a day filled with lots of food vendors, craft vendors, games for the little ones and much much more. We will also have at our area the Greater Cincinnati Garden Railway Society, they will be running LIVE STEAM Trains, you won’t want to miss that!!” Come see the great work that the Wayne County Railroaders Association has done!
