June 19, 2011

by Karole Passmore

The 4H Fair kicked off yesterday with a cat and dog show, driving & western, the exotic petting zoo, Wayne County Idol and so much more!

And the fun is just beginning…

Today in celebration of Father’s Day there will be an old fashioned frog jumping contest for the kids with registration at 12:30 and the contest starting at 1:00.  And from 2-4 p.m.  there will be a FREE ice cream social at the Warehouse Tent.  Also enjoy the many exhibits and animal shows and a horse pull at 7:00 p.m.  The VA Medical Clinic will be at the fairgrounds from 1-8 p.m. today! And best of all FREE parking in honor of Father’s and Veterans.

So if you haven’t made it out to the fair yet–make sure to get out today.  The full schedule for the fair can be seen in the print edition of GoWayneCounty.com as an insert.  You can also go the 4H Fair website to see the full line-up.  The fair will run through next Saturday with live music concerts like Savannah Jack coming up this Tuesday night –and it is FREE.

Make sure to visit the kids rabbit and chicken exhibits as well as other animals as the children have worked hard in 4H learning to care for their animals.

Monday: Poor Jack Amusements open at the Fair!

See you at the Fair!!
