Antiquing in Wayne County, IN

Are you searching for that perfect side table or comfy chair?  A rare book or something to add to your various collections?  Antique enthusiasts come from miles around to enjoy the selection of antiques in Wayne County and to take in the historic sites.  Centerville IN, Hagerstown IN, and Cambridge City IN all offer unique antiquing experiences and all in our own back yard.

Centerville Antiquing:

People have travelled from destinations far beyond Wayne County to enjoy antiquing in Centerville including the large Centerville Antique Mall which offers a huge selection of collectibles and larger antiques such as furniture.

Whether you collect dishes, jewelry, books or rare signs, you may find several things you need at this mall.   And if you like a smaller shop where you can make one of a kind discoveries, Centerville also houses Wheelers Antiques and other distinctively themed shops.   Make sure you have plenty of time to browse!

Cambridge City: An Historic Town

A town steeped in history, once home to the Overbeck Sisters and now displaying their renowned Overbeck Pottery and well as many other historic artifacts, it’s only right that Cambridge City be a designated town for antique enthusiasts from far and wide.  Along Main Street one will find a plethora of antiquing possibilities including: The Log House Antiques, which also features candles and accessories that go well in a home filled with antiques,  the National Road Antique Mall, Yesterday’s Antiques, Allen Antiquities, and many more!  You will want to spend a day shopping as well as eating at the locally owned cafes and pizza shops.

Hagerstown IN – On the Antique Trail

A unique little town that also offers one of the most well known candy factories in Indiana and surrounding areas- Abbott’s Candies, antique enthusiasts can also find what they are looking for while munching on a fresh caramel candy.  The Shoppes of East Main is an excellent place to search for that item you’ve been looking for to complete your home or collection.  Take time to stroll down Main Street and enjoy the many shops and food establishments and you take in the small town atmosphere.

The Visitors Bureau of Wayne County has several trails you can follow including the antique trails as well as the chocolate trail- why not do both?  Another way to enjoy Wayne County!
