Tonight we headed northwest to Hagerstown, hoping to make it to the farmer’s market, and along the way get shots of bands practicing for State Fair.

Luckily we were able to catch the last few minutes of the Farmer’s Market in Hagerstown. Storm clouds were rolling in and people were beginning to pack up, but we were still able to buy fresh peaches, corn, green peppers and wonderful baked goods.

The Hagerstown Methodist Church was selling morning glory muffins, homemade cupcakes, brownies, pies, etc. Next week, we were informed, the Optimists would be preparing a meal for those who come to the market. Each week another group hosts a meal for a reasonable price.
Unfortunately we missed the bands in Hagertown and at Lincoln High School in Cambridge City (though Lincoln will have a practice again on Friday from 9 – 1 p.m. which we will attend). But we did watch Centerville’s practice and got some great pictures. There will be more on all the bands later this week.
Again, a road trip that was worth the drive for the friendly people, good food and great scenery. The Hagerstown Farmer’s Market is every Wednesday night from 5-7 p.m. at the Elementary School parking lot, come hungry and eat your dinner there while you shop.
