  • Gospel Revs Concert A Moving Experience At Earlham College
December 6, 2010

Sunday evening we enjoyed a moving experience at Earlham College as we watched the Gospel Revelations choir directed by Shenita and Patrick Piper.

Taking me back to my time in the choir as an Earlham student, the energy and excitement of the multi-cultural choir members reminded me of my experience 10 years ago.  As Shenita instructed the audience to allow the children to dance in the aisles if they wish and invited all to participate, I remembered my own anticipation as we prepared to sing years ago.

As instructed, the audience did participate–clapping while sitting or on their feet, and singing along with the choir.  One could hardly sit still with the music inviting you to sway and dance along with the beat.

You can see the genuine depth of feeling on the faces of the choir as they belt out the gospel music.  Watch the video below to see for yourselves just how moving an experience a Gospel Revs Concert can be–and the next time you see them scheduled to sing at Earlham, be sure to be there.  Continue to check the GoWayneCounty.com calendar to find this and other community events at Earlham College and throughout Wayne County.
