Day Camps & Hiking the Great Outdoors
Joseph Moore Museum
Enjoy a tour through the Joseph Moore Museum by one of the Earlham College student guides and meet some dinosaurs and more! And for extended fun during Spring Break- check this out:
Animal Superpowers! Spring Break Day Camp
Come and be amazed by the skills and strategies animals have perfected in order to survive! Each day we will explore a different environment, from streams and wetlands to gardens and forest, and meet the animals who live there. Find out who can breathe through their skin, make their own food, soar through the skies, see with night vision, and communicate with us! Dress to be outdoors for hikes and games: campers need to bring a water bottle, snacks and a sack lunch.

Hayes Arboretum (Richmond IN)
Any time is a good time to hike the trails or drive through Hayes Arboretum with the kids. For a programmed event to enjoy during Spring Break, you may want to add this to your calendar:
Native American History Hike
3,000 to 1,500 years ago, our region was home to the Adena and Hopewell peoples. Join a naturalist on a hike to explore their culture and visit their ceremonial mounds located on Arboretum property. Dress for the weather and meet at the Nature Center.

Cope Environmental Center (Centerville IN)
Enjoy hiking trails and over bridges at the many acres of Cope Environmental Center. Trailheads are located at the 4910 Shoemaker Rd. entrance and the 1730 Airport Road entrance. And visit the newly constructed educational center located off of Airport Rd, Centerville, next to two of the property’s wetlands.
If you family enjoys nature, frog ponds, turtles and other animals- a hike at Cope Environmental is a must do for your Spring Break calendar. Open dawn to dusk every day.
Maps can be found inside the trailheads- hikers are encouraged to return the maps for reuse by future hikers. Cost: Free.
Fun Experiences in Downtown Richmond IN
Tin Cup: Tea & Gift Shop
Schedule an afternoon tea or lunch with the kids- during Spring Break!
Bring along your favorite board games and spend some time enjoying the comfy space at the Tin Cup. Free wifi, plugins and full menu from the Tin Lizzie Cafe. Hours M-TH 11- 4 | Friday 11-5:30 p.m. For tea reservations call 765 962 4441 or stop in to order off a menu for a traditional lunch.
Ply Fiber Arts
A lovely yarn shop, Ply Fiber Arts also offers classes in knitting for children ages 11 and up with a parent. Call Sam Purcell to schedule a time to take your creative child in for a lesson during Spring Break.

Veach’s Toy Station
Always a fun adventure with interactive toy stations about the shop. This is a locally owned and operated toy store on steroids! Every toy, book, doll or animal your child can imagine can be found in this store that has been in the same family for over 50 years!

Family FitnessWorks : RecPlex (600 Commerce Road)
Do you anticipate the kids bouncing off the walls over Spring Break? Well here’s a great option! Let them bounce to their hearts content at the RecPlex. An indoor fun center which also develops muscle strength and belly laughs. Jumping into a pit of foam or bouncing on the in- floor trampolines, climbing the walls —literally, or balancing on a beam—so many choices. Hours of enjoyment and very affordable. Hours during Spring Break:

Super Park: Reservoir
Open seven days a week dawn to dusk. The park also offers cabin and shelter rentals if you are planning a fun cookout with friends and family during Spring Break. You can rent by calling the Richmond Parks Department office. Picnic tables are also available, so pack a lunch and enjoy eating outdoors!
Children of all ages can enjoy climbing, swinging and running wild at this fun outdoor park. Cost: Free
Glen Miller Park
It may be a little too early for the Splash Pad to be open at Glen Miller Park, but there is still lots to do in the Spring! Enjoy time at the large playground, walk around the pond and visit the ducks or take a picnic lunch and eat outdoors! Bring a racket and some tennis balls because-there are also tennis courts available near the playground.
The park offers a concession stand that is open during the summer season. At the edge of the park there is also a skate park available. Cost: Free
