  • Centerville Abington Elementary Earns 4 Star Status
May 1, 2015

News Release

centerville abington schoolsCongratulations to Centerville-Abington Community Schools for being designated as a Four Star School.  To earn Four Star status, schools must have a 95 percent participation rate in testing. ISTEP scores contribute to the Four Star rating in two ways. The combined passing percentages for student performance in English/language arts and math must be in the top 25th percentile for the state for each grade level. In addition, the number of students passing the English test and the number passing the math test must both be in the top 25th percentile for each grade level.

This means that all Centerville schools have now gained Four Star School status with the exception of Rose Hamilton Elementary which cannot since it does not give ISTEP tests
