SAFETY VILLAGE ANNOUNCES DATE FOR SAFE TRICK OR TREAT EVENT
RICHMOND, IN: Safety Village of Wayne County has announced that October 28th from 5-6:30p as our Safe Trick or Treat Event. Safety Village participants and volunteers will be handing out lots of candy and also teaching helpful safety tips to make sure Halloween is fun and safe for all.
Our gates will open at 5pm and we’ll have a not so scary haunted house, fortune teller, fun Halloween music. Our theme is geared for kids in 3rd grade or younger, but all kids are welcome.
Parents we’ll be teaching some basic tips on safety for the upcoming community trick or treat times in your local community.
Tom Cox, Executive Director for Safety Village says, “This is our biggest one day event during the year and our title sponsor Colorbox organizes a terrific evening with fun and safe information and tons of candy!”
Safety Village of Wayne County educates over 2500 kids annually with a variety of safe education at our site on the Richmond State Hospital campus as well as in the classrooms across Wayne County. Our site was dedicated in the fall of 2003 and is celebrating 10 years all thanks for the Richmond Noon Kiwanis and their leadership.
