Who says the kids get to have all the fun? Come support the Richmond High School Student Council at the 5th Annual Platinum Prom. This social event, for citizens age 60 and over, will take place on Saturday, April 14, from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at Richmond High School’s Cafeteria, 380 Hub Etchison Parkway, Richmond.
Dancing will begin with live music played by local favorites, The Rush County Big Band, a group of 14-20 current and former educators from Central Indiana. Other activities will include bingo, prizes, a queen and king contest and refreshments.
This elegant event will provide an opportunity for the younger and older generations to dance, mingle and learn from each other, in a festive party atmosphere. Many Richmond High School students have been attending ballroom dance lessons to prepare for the event. The theme for this year’s prom will be “In the Mood.”
Attendees are encourages to dress in semi-formal to formal attire. This event is FREE. Come with or without a partner. Each guest will receive a complimentary corsage and coffee mug. Seniors of all levels of mobility are welcome.
