The Whitewater Canal Byway Association (WCBA) will be hosting its annual dinner January 11, 2012.
After a busy and successful 2011 that included the official designation of the three loop routes in the Whitewater Valley as part of the Whitewater Canal Scenic Byway to the $60,000.00 award of a grant from the National Scenic Byway Organization for the development of a corridor management plan, the WCBA is poised to accomplish even more in 2012.
Joining us at our annual dinner as our keynote speaker will be United States Congressman Mike Pence who has been a supporter of the WCBA since its conception.
Included in the night’s festivities will be the presentation of the Spirit of the Byway award. This prestigious award is given each year to that person or persons who have gone above and beyond in their volunteer support of the WCBA and its mission.
The public is invited to attend but reservations are required and seating is limited. The dinner will be held in the old depot at theWhitewater Valley Gateway Park on US 52 in Metamora and will begin at 6:30 PM, cost per person is $13.95. To make a reservation contact Candy at the office of the Whitewater Valley Gateway Park, 765-647-2541 or by email at copperron@aol.com.
