Time to scoot down to down to the Richmond Police Department and get your “hog” registered!
If you own a scooter, moped or other “pocket rocket,” you now must register it with Richmond Police. Starting today, scooter owners have until August 1st to get compliant.
Scooter Registration Schedule
Today: 9 to 11 a.m.
Friday: 1 to 3 p.m.
Monday: 1 to 3 p.m.
June 9: 9 to 11 a.m.
June 11: 1 to 3 p.m.
Scooter Ordinance Requirements
You now have to have a plate and pay $35 to comply with the new ordinance. When you show up, you must also have proof of ownership.
Failure to show proper registration and plate will result in fines. The fuzz will start enforcement after August 1 2010, so you best be ready.
