What a beautiful day it turned out to be at the Museum today as children rushed in to see live baby camels, make their own Egyptian headbands or collars, and write their names in hieroglyphics. (see video below of the baby camels).
Some children even attempted to create a pyramid
while others had brought stuffed animals from home to “mummify.”
Museum volunteers also showed children how to play an old Egyptian board game and how to create masks.
Outdoors one of the tents had choices of “henna” tattoos for children to sport and parents to admire.

Thanks to all the volunteers today for once again providing a fun-filled educational experience for the kids in our community. What a gem to have in our midst.
For more fun this weekend, don’t forget about Veach’s Block Party tomorrow from noon to 4:00 p.m. on East Main Street in front of the store.
You can see many more pictures from the day of fun at the museum at our Facebook site (GoWayneCounty).
Watch video below to meet the special guests of the day.
