The Historic Depot District in Richmond Indiana.
Community Involvement
Roger Richert, owner of Richmond Furniture Gallery, has been instrumental in the transformation of the Depot District from a run-down, forgotten area of Richmond to a bustling and growing tourist attraction and shopping destination.
Roger and his company are an outstanding example of good business stewardship and the spirit of “giving back” to the community. From sponsored events designed to showcase the rich history of our area to helping other small business owners and organizations in the area to prosper, Richmond Furniture Gallery and company do a lot for the communities they do business in.
Company History
In 1954 Paul and Katherine Richert started Richmond Auction and Furniture in Richmond, Indiana. In 1982 their son, auctioneer Roger Richert, took over the reins of the family business.
Roger expanded the business, opening Furniture Outlets in Richmond, Muncie, Anderson, Daleville and New Castle, and in 2004 renovated and restored their flagship store, Richmond Furniture Gallery in Historic Richmond.
At 85 years young, Paul still comes to work every day. Roger, along with his wife Theresa and daughter Natalie continue the family tradition of friendly customer service and living up to their motto, “I’LL SAVE YOU MONEY!”
